DURHAM – Duke men's soccer completed its 2021 exhibition slate with a 3-1 loss to N.C. State at Koskinen Stadium on Saturday.
Originally scheduled for Friday night, the game was an entirely new showing after Friday's contest was abandoned at 0-0 in the 39th minute due to lightning, following two lengthy weather stoppages. At the time of stoppage, Duke led the way with eight shots and goalie
JT Harms made one save.
Saturday's game started fresh, with all four goals coming in the first half. Sophomore
Nick Pariano scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils, after the team fell behind 3-0, shaving the deficit to two in the 43rd minute.
The Blue Devils will now turn their attention to the regular season home opener, as they host Liberty on Friday at 7:30 p.m., at Koskinen Stadium.
