DURHAM – Duke University women's golf head coach
Dan Brooks announced the 2021-22 schedule on Wednesday, which features nine regular season tournaments as Brooks enters his 38th season with the Blue Devils.
In 37 years as the Duke coach, Brooks has helped guide his squads to seven NCAA National Championships, 21 ACC Championships and 140 team victories, which is the most of any women's golf coach in Division I history.
Duke will open the season with the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at the Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn., from Sept. 13-15. The event will welcome the top teams in the nation with Duke, Texas, South Carolina, Arizona, Arizona State, Southern California, Alabama, UCLA, Minnesota, Wake Forest and LSU.
The Blue Devils will then head to the Windy City Collegiate Classic Oct. 4-5 at the Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Ill.
On Oct. 15-17, Duke will once again play locally in the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, which will be played at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Blue Devils have won the event 16 times, including five times over the last six years the event has been played.
For the fourth time in school history, Duke will compete in the East Lake Cup at the historic East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga., which will be aired live on Golf Channel. The Blue Devils also received invitations to play in the East Lake Cup in 2015, 2016 and 2019, while taking home the team title in 2016. Seeing action in 2021 will be Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Duke and Arizona.
In the spring, Duke will open play Feb. 20-22 at the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla., followed by the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Feb. 28 to March 2 at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
The Blue Devils will head west March 13-15 for the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., followed by the Chattanooga Classic March 27-29 at the Council Fire Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Duke will close the regular season with the Wolfpack Match Play in Raleigh, N.C., at Lonnie Poll Golf Club April 3-4.
The ACC Championship will be contested at The Reserve Golf Course in Pawleys Island, S.C., April 14-17. In the only
NCAA Regional action will take place May 9-11 at one of four sites – New Mexico, Michigan, Oklahoma State and Florida State.
For the second straight year, the NCAA Championship will be hosted in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Raptor Course at Grayhawk Golf Club May 20-25.
