DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's golfers continue to excel on the professional level in 2021 on both the LPGA and Symetra tours. Heading into this week's event in Ohio, a Blue Devil golfer has finished in the top-10 in four straight events and Duke golfers have placed in the top-10 six times in those tournaments.
The Blue Devils competing professionally this season, primarily on the LPGA Tour, are: Celine Boutier, Lindy Duncan, Brittany Lang, Yu Liu, Leona Maguire and Ana Belac; and the golfers concentrated in the Symetra Tour are: Laetitia Beck and Sandy Choi.

Throughout the 2021 LPGA campaign and her career, Celine Boutier continues to improve each and every time she takes the course. As the LPGA is just beyond the halfway point, Boutier has already earned three top-10 finishes -- two of which, came in the month of June. Boutier's top finishes came first at the LPGA MEADHEAL Championship, where she placed tied for fifth. She finished 7-under-par, including an incredible final round where Boutier was 8-under to help climb the leaderboard and solidify her final spot. Another top-10 finish came at the highly prestigious KPMG PGA Championship where Boutier tied for seventh, in a competition that had 156 total players. Again, Boutier posted another strong score of 7-under. Boutier took away her largest sum of money from the KPMG PGA Championship with $121,501, which brings her 2021 earning total to an impressive $343,812 in 13 events played, which is ranked 28th across all of the LPGA. Over the last three events, Boutier has shot a combined 24-under-par and finished no lower than tied for eighth. Her career earnings have also stayed steady throughout her professional career with a grand total of $1,808,172. In 44 rounds played this season, Boutier has finished under-par in 23 of those rounds, and currently has 154 total birdies on the year. Boutier has recently earned the honor of getting a chance to represent France at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics (rounds played July 23-Aug 8) as one of the two representatives from the country.
Leona Maguire

Even though Leona Maguire is a little over half way through this season, she has already surpassed her earning for all of 2020 and is playing her best golf as a professional. Maguire has earned $539,107 --which is currently ranked 16th amongst all other competitors in the LPGA. Maguire recently placed second at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, and took home a tidy sum of $213,467. In all four rounds of this golf classic, Maguire managed to finish well below par, and had a career round low of 8-under-par in the second round of the Meijer LPGA Classic. Over her last four events, Maguire has placed no lower than tied for 26th and shot a combined 33-under-par. Maguire is also ranked 15th in scoring average (70.25), ranked 20th for putting average, and is also ranked 28th in birdies with 148 on the year. Maguire's course poise and strength of play has rewarded her with a chance to represent Ireland in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Lindy Duncan

Lindy Duncan in the 2021 season so far has participated in nine total events (all LPGA Tour) with her best finish of the season also coming in the month of June. Duncan tied for 29th at the Meijer LPGA Classic. Duncan also achieved her season-best score (13-under-par). Duncan earned her biggest payout from this event with a lump sum of $15,407, and has also earned a total of $60,760 from the 2021 schedule thus far. Nearly half of her rounds played have been under par with 15 of her 34 total rounds.

Brittany Lang is currently in her 18th season as a professional, and this year she has taken the stage in 11 events. In Lang's latest tournament, she participated in the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and finished tied for 40th, with a 1-over-par. Lang earned $21,587, which was the largest amount that she has registered this year. Lang's total earnings to date is $32,631, but over her long, successful career has earned an impressive $7,088,712. In Lang's play this season, her stats show an total of 75 birdies, a scoring average of 72.93, and a putting average of 30.97.
Yu Liu

Through her 14 events in 2021, Yu Liu has a scoring average of 71.35 and 141 total birdies on the season. One of Liu's best performances this year was when she competed in the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship, where she placed tied for 13th. Over her 14 tournaments, she has earned $223,973 this year, which has increased her career total to $1,818,840. Liu was unable to make the Olympic team for China, but is currently an alternate athlete in the event something would happen to China's other two contenders.

Ana Belac

In her last outing in the LPGA Tour, Ana Belac finished tied for fourth place and took home $63,230, after shooting 12-under-par. It marked her first top-5 finish on the LPGA Tour as a rookie. Since finishing tied for 16th in the LPGA Pure Silk Championship in Williamsburg, Va., Belac has earned invitations into five straight LPGA events.
In the Symetra tour this season, Belac who is in her second season as a professional, has finished in the top 50 in all four of her events, including a season best of tied for 17th at the IOA Championship scoring one-under-par in the event. In the IOA Championship, Belac posted her best round of the season with a 5-under-par. Belac is currently ranked 35th in scoring average (72.54) and is ranked 98th in putting average (31.31) on the Symetra Tour. Belac's earnings this season total $6,020 which brings this young star's total winnings to in the Symetra Tour to $55,101.
