COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Field Hockey announced athletes chosen to attend the women's 2022 U-21 Selection Camp Thursday morning, as three Blue Devils were named to the list.
Following strong performances at the 2021 Young Women's National Championship held last week, rising sophomore
Barb Civitella and juniors
Hannah Miller and
Kelsey Reznick earned their way to compete for spots on the U-21 U.S. Women's National Team.
The camp will take place in December 2021 or January 2022 with more information to be confirmed. Based on their performances at camp, these athletes are up for evaluation to be named to the 2022 U-21 USWNT.
In her first season as a Blue Devil, Civitella appeared in 15 games in which she recorded an assist and one shot. Miller started in all 16 games during the 2020-21 campaign, tallying 12 points on three goals and a team-leading six assists. Reznick made five starts in 15 contests, registering one assist and seven shots during her sophomore season.
Incoming transfer Marykate Neff was also invited to the 2022 U.S. Women's National Development Team Selection Camp. The Development Camp will train and compete this summer against the Junior Pan American Championship Training Squad.
Athletes for the Rise Selection Camp will be announced following the completion of the 2021 Nexus Championship. Duke will be represented by incoming freshmen Shelby Bumgarner, Logan Clouser and Taryn Ringer.
