DURHAM – The 14th-ranked Duke women's tennis team will hit the road this weekend for its final regular season road swing as the Blue Devils will face Boston College Friday, April 9 and then Syracuse on Sunday, April 11. Friday's contest against the Eagles will open at 12 p.m., at the Weymouth Club, while Sunday's match will start at 11 a.m., at Drumlins Tennis Center and be carried live on ACC Network Extra.
THE SERIES WITH BOSTON COLLEGE
Duke and Boston College will meet for the 17th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 16-0. In matches played on the road, Duke holds a 7-0 ledger.
THE SERIES WITH SYRACUSE
Duke and Syracuse will face each other for the 11th time in the series with the Blue Devils leading, 10-0. In matches played in New York, Duke is 4-0. Three out of the last four matches with the Orange have been held at Syracuse.
BOSTON COLLEGE IN THE RANKINGS
Boston College's Kylie Wilcox is currently ranked No. 89. The Eagles feature two doubles teams listed -- Laura Lopez and Maria Aguiar are No. 61 and Yufei Long and Kylie Wilcox are No. 74.
SYRACUSE IN THE RANKINGS
Syracuse features one ranked singles player – Viktoriya Kanapatskaya (23). The doubles team of Kanapatskaya and Natalie Novotna are No. 28.
WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME
Duke traveled to Syracuse on Feb. 23, 2020 and registered a 7-0 victory. The Blue Devils have shutout Boston College in three straight contests with the last meeting coming on Feb. 21, 2020 with a 4-0 win.

The Blue Devils currently are ranked No. 14 nationally in the latest ITA ledger. Over the last four seasons, Duke has been ranked in the top-10 in 47 of the last 53 ITA rankings.

CHI MOVING UP WINS LIST
A product of Weston, Fla., Chi currently features a 129-37 all-time singles mark, which is good for fifth on Duke's all-time wins list. She needs six more singles wins to move into a tie for fourth along with Julie Exum (135-41). Chi also features 40 career ACC singles wins, which ranks second. She needs one more league victory to match
Ellyse Hamlin (41) for the Duke record.
Chi owns a 220-77 combined singles and doubles wins over her Duke career, which ranks tied for fourth on Duke's all-time charts along with Megan Miller, Amanda Johnson and Amanda Granson (220). To reach third place, she will have to collect 16 more victories to tie
Reka Zsilinszka (236).
IN SINGLES ACTION
Four different Blue Devils have pushed past the double-digit singles wins ledger this season with Chi leading the way with a 17-3 record. She has collected a 14-2 dual match mark and a 9-1 ACC record. Dating back to the 2018-19 campaign, Chi has won 17 out of her last 18 ACC dual match singles contests. Chi has won matches against ranked opponents in two out of the last three matches.
Beck has collected a 14-3 singles mark and 7-1 ACC ledger. Drummy owns a 12-4 ledger, Bilokin has totaled a 12-7 record, Chen owns an 9-8 record and Berankova has a 9-8 mark.
DOUBLES ACTION
In doubles action, the duos of Beck and Berankova, as well as Chen and Drummy, own a team-best 11 doubles wins on the year. Chen/Drummy have won 10 out of the last 11 matches and owns an 11-3 record. The duo are 10-1 in dual match action and 4-1 in the ACC. Beck/Berankova have totaled an 11-3 record, including 8-2 in dual action.
The Blue Devils' duo of Bilokin and Chi have collected a 9-3 ledger, including a 5-3 mark in conference play. Since getting paired together last season, Bilokin/Chi have notched a 13-6 record, including a 7-3 ledger in conference action.
Dating back to last season, Duke has won 17 out of the last 20 doubles points in dual matches.
Due to injuries, Chi and
Hannah Zhao saw action for the first time this season and knocked off the 21st-ranked duo of Emma Navarro and Rosie Johanson of Virginia (6-4). Chen and
Ema Lazic also played together for the first time and collected a 6-3 win over 41st-ranked Vivian Glozman and Amber O'Dell of Virginia. Chen/Lazic improved to 2-0 on the season Monday with a 6-0 blanking of Yashna Yellayi/Julia Andreach. Chi/Zhao moved to 5-1 all-time in doubles as a unit, but marked the first time since the 2019-20 campaign the tandem took the court together.
DRUMMY, BECK MISSES MISS MATCH
Drummy missed the North Carolina and Virginia contests with an ankle injury, but returned for doubles action against Notre Dame. She returned for singles and doubles against NC State. Since transferring into the Blue Devils, Drummy has totaled a 12-4 singles mark and 5-2 ACC ledger. Drummy is also 13-4 in doubles action, including an 11-1 dual match record. She paired with Berankova and knocked off the 11th-ranked doubles team nationally recently against Notre Dame.
Beck missed the Virginia and Notre Dame matches with a hand injury, but returned against NC State and won her singles contest.
LAZIC, ZHAO SEE ACTION IN SINGLES
With injuries forcing Drummy and Beck out of the lineup recently, Zhao saw her third straight dual match action at Virginia and was impressive in the first set against Amber O'Dell winning, 6-2. She struggled in the second and third set to fall, 6-4, 6-1. She dropped a three-set battle on Monday to Julia Andreach of Notre Dame.
Lazic saw action in the first singles dual match of her four-year career at Virginia and took the first set over Sofia Munera, 6-2. Lazic led 4-3 in the second set, before falling, 5-7, and the match was abandoned with her trailing 2-3, after Virginia clinched the win. She came back on Monday against Notre Dame and collected her first collegiate ACC victory with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Maeve Koscielski.
BECK REGISTERS TOP-10 WIN
On the road at top-ranked North Carolina on March 19, Beck collected an impressive singles' win against sixth-ranked Cameron Morra. After dropping a close first set, 6-7, Beck responded by cruising to a 6-0 second set victory. In a back-and-forth super-tiebreaker, Beck came out on top winning, 12-10. It marked the highest singles win of her short career and second against a top-10 opponent. Beck owns a 22-3 dual match record and 9-1 ACC mark over her Duke career. She has won 10 out of her last 11 singles matches.
CHEN & CHI VERSUS RANKED
Over her four seasons with the Blue Devils, Chen has collected a 105-30 singles record. Of the 105 wins, 42 of them have come against ranked opponents. Chi recently posted back-to-back wins over ranked opponents to give her 38 all-time victories against a ranked opponent. She knocked off Virginia's 18th-ranked Natasha Subhash and Notre Dame's 74th-ranked Page Freeman. The win at Virginia marked the highest win against a ranked opponent since 11th-ranked Carla Touly in Nov. of 2018
MATCH-CLINCHING WINS
Chi clinched both of the Blue Devil wins against No. 5 Florida State and No. 30 Miami. She has now clinched 24 Duke wins during her tenure. Of the other Duke student-athletes on the 2021 roster, Chen has clinched 13, while Bilokin (10), Zhao (6) and Beck (4) have closed out Blue Devil wins over their career.
CHI RECEIVES ACC POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The ACC announced recently a list of 52 student-athletes who have been selected as 2021 Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship Award recipients with Duke's Chi one of four Blue Devils receiving accolades.
WHAT IS NEXT
Duke has rescheduled the Wake Forest match for Sunday, April 18 at 1 p.m., for senior day. It will mark the final home match for the Blue Devils in the 2021 regular season. Duke will recognize Chi, Lazic and Zhao pregame for senior day.
COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
Due to the impact of COVID-19, Duke University will begin its spring sport program seasons without spectators at home events. Contests played on Duke's campus will include essential game management personnel and broadcast media. Traditional parking lots used by fans on game day will be closed.
