DURHAM, N.C. – Men's lacrosse senior captain
Joe Robertson has been selected Duke's PNC Achiever's Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Blue Devils to a 12-11 overtime win over No. 2 North Carolina.
The Salem, Va., native led the team on the field, registering four goals, including the overtime winner, and three assists for seven points. In addition to scoring the winning goal to keep Duke unbeaten, Robertson gave the Blue Devils their first lead, 11-10, of the game.
As an attackman, Robertson is tied for the most goals on the team at 27, while also ranking second in the league with 3.38 goals per game. The game on Thursday led Robertson to his fourth five-plus point game of the season and the 14th of his career and his 25th career hat trick.
Next up for Duke men's lacrosse (10-0) is No. 5 Notre Dame (6-1) Saturday, April 10.
