DURHAM – Former Blue Devils
Haley Randall and
Jillian Wolgemuth have been named to the U.S. Women's National Team European travel roster, as announced by USWNT head coach Anthony Farry on Thursday morning.
Â
Randall, formerly Schleicher, was selected to the USWNT roster in January 2020 while Wolgemuth was chosen for the Development Team. Wolgemuth is one of five athletes on the travel team who were invited following a virtual trial submission.
Â
The USWNT returns to the pitch mid-May for the continuation of the 2020-21 FIH Hockey Pro League season and will play four games – a pair versus Belgium and Great Britain.
Â
During her career at Duke, Randall appeared in 84 contests, tallying 31 points from 13 goals and five assists. The Virginia Beach, Va., midfielder capped off her senior campaign with All-ACC First Team and NFHCA All-South Region First Team honors. Randall previously represented USA on the U-17 and U-19 squads.
Â
As a Blue Devil, Wolgemuth started in 72 of 78 career appearances and helped Duke's backline to a 1.13 goals against average, ranking seventh in the country, in 2019. The Mount Joy, Pa., native earned NFHCA All-America Third Team, All-South Region First Team and All-ACC First Team honors as a senior. She's played for the U-17, U-19 and U-21 national teams.
Â
A new USWNT roster is set to be named at the end of June.
