Round 2 of the 2021 ACC Slate
This week marks the second go-round for the Blue Devils against conference opponents. Virginia and North Carolina are the lone two ACC teams to have played the same opponent twice so far as the two teams split. The Cavaliers meet the Orange again this Saturday, looking to avenge the loss in the Carrier Dome earlier in the year. Notre Dame and Syracuse and North Carolina and Duke close out the year May 1 and May 2, respectively.

Duke's D Shutting Down "The Best"
The Blue Devils' defense has kept their opponents' top scorers in check in the past three games. With elite cover guys at close defense, led by captain
JT Giles-Harris and steady goaltending from
Mike Adler, Duke kept North Carolina, Notre Dame and Virginia's top-two scorers well below their scoring average.
Tar Heel scorers Chris Gray and Nicky Solomon managed just six points total – both had three – when they were averaging a combined 10 points per game. In its first ACC road trip of the year, Duke kept Notre Dame's Pat Kavanagh to just two points, more than four below his 6.17 per game average. Will Yorke had two goals for the Irish, just under his 2.33 average. At Virginia, the Blue Devils held Matt Moore and Connor Shellenberger to only four points – their average was 8.67 heading into the game.

Blue Devils Streaking
A trio of Blue Devils extended impressive scoring streaks at Virginia last Thursday. With a hat trick,
Michael Sowers continued his stretch of scoring at least one point in every game of his career (59) to sport the nation's second longest point streak.
Joe Robertson notched two goals and three assists to give him 39 consecutive games with a point and 17 with at least one goal. Sophomore
Dyson Williams has scored a goal in every game of his young career – 18 total – to join Robertson on the short list of players with a goal in at least 15 straight games.
Sowers and Robertson are two of 12 players to have scored a point in at least 39 straight games, while Williams and Robertson are two of just 13 athletes represented on the goal streak list. Of the 13 on that list, 11 are seniors. Williams is the lone underclassman to qualify.
