PINEHURST, N.C. – The Duke men's golf team plays its first event outside of the state of Florida this season with the Wake Forest Invitational that begins Monday at Pinehurst No. 2.
The 11-team field battles the famed No. 2 course on the Pinehurst property, set at 7,125-yards and par-70. The format is 36 holes of continuous play on Monday and 18 holes Tuesday. Action is underway with a shotgun start on Monday at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Duke is joined for the Wake Forest Invitational by the host Demon Deacons, along with North Carolina, Virginia, NC State, Virginia Tech, Boston College, East Carolina, Davidson, Furman and Augusta.
Zheng and Siebers were the top two finishers for the Blue Devils in their last event at the Seminole Invitational in Tallahassee last week. Zheng posted a final-round, even-par 72 and finished the tournament at one-under par 215 (68-75-72), which was good for a tie for 19th. Siebers, was just a stroke behind, posting a 54-hole score of even-par 216 (74-70-72) that included a final-round 72.
The Blue Devils finished fourth at the Camp Creek Invitational in Panama City Beach, Fla., in mid-January to open the season, and followed that by placing tied for second at the Sea Best Invitational at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., in February. Duke placed 12th at the Seminole Invitational last week.
Spectators will be allowed on the course at Pinehurst No. 2. Masks must be worn and social distancing is recommended. Live scoring is available via Golfstat.
