DURHAM — Duke head football coach Mike Elko announced Wednesday that 16 student-athletes have signed national letters of intent to join the Blue Devil gridiron program.

The class includes one athlete, three defensive backs, two defensive ends, two linebackers, three offensive linemen, one quarterback, one running back, one tight end and two wide receivers.

A total of nine states are represented in the group with six from North Carolina, two from Georgia and Texas, and one from Florida, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia.
