DURHAM – Graduate student holder Jackson Hubbard was named to the 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America First Team.
Hubbard is the 10th Blue Devil in program history to earn First Team Academic All-America honors and is the first since two-time honoree A.J. Wolf in 2016. He is the ACC's lone representative on the All-America list.
Hubbard has appeared in 46 games as a Blue Devil. He has served as the program's holder on placement kicks for the last four seasons. The Dallas, Texas, native has been a key component of Duke's placement kicking unit that has gone 145-of-149 (.973) on PATs and 51-of-66 (.773) on field goals since 2018. Hubbard graduated from Duke in May 2021, with a computer science degree and a double minor in statistics and economics. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Duke.
