DURHAM – Duke men's soccer sophomore midfielder
Nick Pariano has been named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week, as the organization announced on Tuesday.
Â
Pariano was tabbed to list for the second time in his collegiate career and first this season, following a three-point performance in the Blue Devils' NCAA Championship third round game against No. 10 Saint Louis.
Â
The Philadelphia, Pa., native helped erase a two-goal deficit against the Billikens with a 74th minute goal and added an assist on the tying goal by freshman
Jai Bean just over three minutes later.
Â
Pariano's three points capped off his season, finishing with a career-high three goals and seven assists for 13 points to rank in a tie for second on the team. The sophomore was one of four Blue Devils with 10 or more points, good for the program's most since 2014. Pariano concluded his first NCAA Championship with a goal and two assists, after setting up the game winner for the Blue Devils against UCLA.
Â
Pariano and the Blue Devils will return to action in the fall of 2022.
