DURHAM – New York quarterback Daniel Jones finished 19-of-30 for 202 yards and a touchdown to lead the Giants to a 13-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday to highlight 13 former Duke football players during the 12th week of play in the National Football League.
Jones also added 30 yards on nine rushes. In addition to Jones' performance, offensive lineman Matt Skura started at left guard for the Big Blue.
Cornerback Michael Carter II recorded six tackles and wide receiver Jamison Crowder added one reception for five yards to assist the New York Jets to a 21-14 win over the Houston Texans. Long snapper Thomas Hennessy aided the Jets special team's unit, seeing nine snaps in the game.
Veteran offensive linemen Laken Tomlinson and Lucas Patrick also started for their respective teams in wins on Sunday. Tomlinson started at left guard in San Francisco's 34-26 win over the Vikings, while Patrick started at center as Green Bay topped the Los Angeles Rams, 36-28.
