DURHAM – Duke University women's golf senior
Gina Kim along with former Blue Devil standout Sarah LeBrun Ingram have been honored by Global Golf Post for their performances in 2021.
Kim, a product of Durham, N.C., earned Global Golf Post All-Am First Team accolades, after turning in an impressive past year on the amateur circuit. She claimed the victory at the North & South Women's Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C., and won the individual title at the ACC Championship, while leading Duke to the team title as well. Kim also participated in the Arnold Palmer Cup and collected a 4-0 ledger as the United States squad took home team honors.
A three-time All-America with the Blue Devils, Kim also carded a top-5 finish at the NCAA Championship, top-11 placement at NCAA Regionals and a tied for sixth finish at the Valspar Augusta Invitational. In January, she competed in the South Atlantic Women's' Amateur Championship and carded a fourth-place finish. Kim was also selected to participate in the 2021 Curtis Cup with the United States and was a part of the 12 ½ to 7 ½ winning U.S. squad over Great Britain and Ireland.
A 1988 Duke graduate, Ingram was named Global Golf Post Women's Senior All-Am Second Team. She captained the United States to a victory over Great Britain and Ireland at the Curtis Cup in August. Ingram also won the inaugural Ladies National Golf Association (NSGA) Senior Amateur Championship at the Anthem Golf & Country Club in Anthem, Ariz. She posted rounds of 75, 75 and 76 to win by six strokes.
Ingram also advanced to the round of 32 at the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur.
