DURHAM – Duke sophomore forwardThorleifur Ulfarssoncapped off a highly decorated week by being named the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week, as the organization announced on Wednesday.

Ulfarsson has now swept all major weekly awards, having also been named the TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week, College Soccer News National Player of the Week and ACC Offensive Player of the Week.

The Kopavogur, Iceland, native recorded five goals over two games, beginning with a hat trick in a mid-week contest against Howard. Ulfarsson would add two more goals in a 3-1 win over No. 14 Louisville on Friday.

Most recently, Ulfarsson scored the third and final goal of the game in a 3-1 win over Elon on Tuesday. Ulfarsson now has eight goals and 16 points to lead the ACC in total goals and rank third in total points. Ulfarsson has done it all in just six games, less games played than the entirety of the top-10 leaders.

The third-ranked Blue Devils are back in action on Saturday, when they travel for a top-15, ACC matchup against No. 13 Pittsburgh. The game will be broadcast on ACCNX.
