DURHAM – Five former Blue Devils split between the New York Giants and the New York Jets recorded their first wins of the regular season during the fourth week of play in the National Football League.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and offensive lineman Matt Skura helped the Giants to a 27-21 overtime win on the road at New Orleans. Jones recorded a career-high 402 passing yards with two touchdowns on 28-of-40 passing. He also rushed four times for 27 yards. Skura made his first appearance for the Giants, starting at left guard and playing every offensive snap.

A trio of former Blue Devils on the New York Jets helped secure the organizations first win of 2021 with a 27-24 overtime win against Tennessee. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder found the end zone in his first game of the season, finishing with 61 yards on seven receptions and a touchdown.

Cornerback Michael Carter II totaled five tackles and one pass breakup. Former Duke long spanner Thomas Hennessy and the special teams unit went perfect on field goals, including the 22-yard game-winning field goal in overtime.
 Ross Cockrell started at cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, aiding the reigning Super Bowl Champions to a 19-17 win over New England. He tallied three tackles, one pass breakup and one quarterback pressure.
