GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the seedings and bracket for the ACC Women's Soccer Tournament, which will be played Sunday, Oct. 31 through Sunday, Nov. 7. Duke is the tournament's No. 3-seed and will face sixth-seeded Wake Forest in the first round on Sunday at 8 p.m. at Koskinen Stadium.
Regular season champion and No. 1-seed Virginia (15-1-1 overall, 8-0-2 ACC) and No. 2-seed Florida State (14-1-2, 7-1-2) each receive a first-round bye and will make their tournament debut in the semifinal round on Friday, Nov. 5.
Duke (13-2-1, 7-2-1), the No. 2-ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches poll, closed out the regular season with a 1-0 road win at Louisville on Thursday. The Blue Devils' opening-round matchup with Wake Forest (14-4-0, 6-4-0) will be their second contest against the Demon Deacons this month, as Duke earned a 2-0 win in Winston-Salem on Friday, Oct. 15.
The winner of the Duke-Wake Forest match will face Florida State on Friday at 8 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
Fourth-seeded Notre Dame (13-4-1, 7-3-0) will host No. 5-seed Clemson (11-5-1, 6-3-1) on Sunday at 6 p.m., with the winner moving on to play Virginia on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park.
Cary will also be the site of the ACC Tournament final on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. on ESPNU. Each first-round and semifinal match will air on ACC Network.
