Schmidt Added to 2021-22 Women’s Basketball Roster

DURHAM — Duke women's basketball head coach Kara Lawson announced Monday that Emma Schmidt will join the 2021-22 roster as a walk on.
A product of Waukee, Iowa, Schmidt played the previous season at TCU where she saw action in five contests. An Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection, Schmidt walked onto the Horned Frogs squad, after serving as a men's basketball student manager her first three years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science.
Schmidt is a graduate of Waukee High School where she played under the direction of Chris and Sheri Guess. The 2017 IGCA Academic All-State Team honoree is pursuing a Statistical Sciences Master's Degree at Duke.
