DURHAM – Duke men's soccer sophomore
Peter Stroud has been tabbed to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason top-100 list, as the organization announced on Monday.
The Chester, N.J., native was selected as the 16th-best player in the nation, as well as the 11th-ranked midfielder and second highest-ranked player in the ACC.
Stroud's honor comes on the heels of freshmen
Ruben Mesalles and
Shakur Mohammed being named to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top-100 freshman list.
Selected to the ACC Preseason Watch List to start the season, Stroud has played an important role in guiding the Blue Devils to a high ranking of No. 3 in the country, leading the team on the counterattack and in possession in the middle of the field.
With a career-high three points in his last game against Clemson, Stroud has two goals and three assists for seven points this season. Stroud ranks in a tie for fourth on the team in points and ranks third in total minutes with 974.
Stroud and the Blue Devils are back in action on Tuesday, when the team travels to face Furman at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
