DURHAM – The No. 9 Duke men's soccer program (9-3-0, 4-2-0 ACC) is set to conclude its 2021 non-conference schedule, traveling to face Furman (3-7-1, 2-2-0 SoCon) for a game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The matchup will be aired live on ESPN+.

- The Blue Devils dropped a tight 3-2 decision in overtime to No. 23 Clemson on Friday night.
- Sophomore Peter Stroud scored his first collegiate penalty kick and tallied a career-high with three points in the loss.
- Junior Scotty Taylor scored the game tying goal to force overtime with just under a minute to play, set up by sophomores Nick Pariano and Stroud. Taylor has now scored both of his goals this season against ranked opponents.

- The Paladins most recently earned a key in-conference win, defeating Wofford 3-1 on Saturday night.

- Duke has not allowed a goal to Furman since a 3-1 win over the Paladins in 1993. The Blue Devils have won the last seven games in the series, last beating the Paladins, 1-0, on August 30, 2019.

- Thorleifur Ulfarsson stands alone as the ACC points per game leader, averaging 2.38 per game over eight games.
- Ulfarsson ranks second in the ACC in total goals (9) and total points (19). The Kopavogur, Iceland, native ranks in a tie for 10th in the country in goals.
- Hamill ranks near the top of several major statistical categories in the country, ranking 11th in the nation in save percentage (0.820) and 20th in shutouts (five). The Scarsdale, N.Y., native also leads the ACC in save percentage and saves per game (4.10).
- With five shutouts this season, Hamill is two away from entering a tie for 11th in the single season shutout rankings.
- The Blue Devils rank 12th in the nation in goal differential, outscoring opponents 27-9 over 12 games.
- The Blue Devils have gotten plenty of production from the freshman class, with 21 of the team's 76 points (27.6%) coming from them. Shakur Mohammed leads the way with eight points, while Felix Barajas has seven, Ruben Mesalles five and Jai Bean one. Mesalles and Mohammed were recently named to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top-100 Freshman List for their efforts.
- Senior Ian Murphy played in his 60th game as a Blue Devil on Friday against Clemson. The most senior player on the roster, the Redlands, Calif., native also crossed another milestone, reaching 5,000 minutes played (5,049).
