DURHAM, N.C.—Major League Soccer will hold the MLS SuperDraft 2021 presented by adidas Thursday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. (ET). The first round will be streamed live on mlssoccer.com, while rounds two and three will be available via the Draft Tracker on its website.
Blue Devils in the Mix
Blue Devils available for selection in the MLS SuperDraft 2021 at Jack Doran, Will Pulisic, Aedan Stanley and Daniel Wright. Doran and Wright are currently members of the 2020-21 team, while Pulisic graduated in December and will not return to the squad for the spring portion of the campaign. Stanley spent the past season with Portland Timbers 2 of the United Soccer League, starting all 16 games and playing a total of 1,440 minutes at left back.
Stanley is widely considered the top choice of the four Blue Devils available, tabbed to by mock drafts to go to Orlando City with the No. 19 pick. Per Travis Clark's Mock SuperDraft on the league's website, 12 of the 27 first-round picks are from ACC programs.
Breaking Down the MLS SuperDraft 2021
The MLS SuperDraft 2021 will include three rounds and 81 selections. Teams are permitted three minutes to make a selection. Expansion team Austin FC has the first pick in this year's SuperDraft, while 2020 MLS Champion Columbus Crew SC has the final choice of the first round. This year's Generation adidas class is set at five with four of them competing in the ACC during this past fall season.
Duke in MLS SuperDraft History
Duke has had five players selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft since it first was held in 2001. In addition, the Blue Devils have had a collection of players sign homegrown contracts, including New York Red Bulls' Sean Davis and Sebastien Ibeagha who is currently playing for NYCFC. Current predictions have Stanley being sixth player to join the short list of first-round draftees.

About the Available Blue Devils
Stanley headlines the four players available after two strong seasons with the Blue Devils. Playing both on the wing and as center back, Stanley started all 37 games he played and totaled nearly 3,300 minutes played. He provided three assists his sophomore year, including the winning assist versus Furman in the 2019 season opener. He also was a crucial part of 10 shutouts posted by the Blue Devils in two years.
Pulisic, Duke's starter in goal for four consecutive seasons, graduated in December with a 1.25 goals against average and a .704 save percentage. Overall, he started 66 games and compiled 200 saves. He was a two-time All-ACC selection and garnered all-region third team honors in 2018.
Doran and Wright return for their final semester at Duke. Doran has started 39 of 44 games he has played and led the Blue Devils in scoring in the fall with three tallies. Wright has played in 65 games with 40 starting assignments. He has nine goals and eight assists for 26 points to his name.
