DURHAM, N.C. - Graduate women's tennis player
Meible Chi has been selected as Duke's PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Week following her performance against Charlotte and at the UNC Invitational over the weekend.
Chi helped spearhead the sixth-ranked Blue Devils open the season with a 7-0 sweep against Charlotte on Thursday before boasting a 3-0 performance at the UNC Invitational on Saturday. Saturday featured Chi upsetting the second-ranked doubles team in the country twice.
Tabbed No. 111 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), Chi clinched the match against the 49ers on Thursday by defeating Emma Wilkins (6-2, 6-1) on Duke's fourth court.
On Saturday against NC State, Chi teamed up with
Margaryta Bilokin to take down No. 2 Anna Rogers and Alana Smith (6-4) before switching up partners to play with
Chloe Beck as the duo secured a second victory over Rogers and Smith (6-2). The Weston, Fla., native concluded her flawless weekend with a 6-3, 6-0 win against NC State's Jaeda Daniel.
