Kickoff between the Blue Devils and Hokies is set for 4Â p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on the ACC Network.

Virginia Tech currently holds a 17-10 edge in the all-time series ... Duke's last home victory over the Hokies came during the 1981 season when the Blue Devils registered a 14-7 victory ... during that contest, DB Dennis Tabron recorded the game-winning 10-yard interception return for a touchdown with 56 seconds remaining ... these two schools have faced each other every year for 17 straight years.

The Blue Devils have been plagued by a combined 12 total turnovers over the last two games: five vs. Boston College and seven vs. Virginia ... Duke's two opponents during that stretch have converted 27 points off of those giveaways.
This year's game will mark the 28th on the gridiron between the two schools with Virginia Tech leading the all-time series, 17-10 ... the Blue Devils won the first meeting in 1937 following a 25-0 neutral site victory ... six of the first seven games in the series were played in neutral territory ... Duke won six of those opening seven games, it's longest winning streak in the series ... Virginia Tech strung together its longest winning streak in the series from 1982-2012 (12 games).
The Blue Devils have started the year 0-3 for the first time since 2006 when they finished the season 0-12 ... this is the first time Duke has started 0-3 against ACC teams since 2016, when it dropped contests to Wake Forest, Virginia, and Louisville.
SETTLING IN
After transferring in from Clemson, redshirt junior Chase Brice has started Duke's opening three games in 2020 ... in his first three career starts, Brice has compiled 59-of-115 (.513) passes for 722 yards with two TDs and six INTs ... the Grayson, Ga., native has thrown a season-long 55-yard reception twice to sophomore WR Eli Pancol and TE Jake Marwede. Brice finished the game against the Cavaliers with six passes of 15+ yards ... he has recorded at least six passes for 15+ yards in two of three games this year (7 vs. Notre Dame) ... in total during his short Duke tenure, Brice has accumulated 16 passes of 15+ yards.
GRAY FINDING HIS GROOVE
This season, senior TE Noah Gray he has picked up right where he left off in 2019 ... through Duke's opening three games of 2020, Gray has led or tied the Blue Devils for the lead in receptions ... he has compiled 152 yards on 13 catches so far this year to shift his career numbers to 89 receptions for 815 yards and seven TDs ... the 89 catches rank fourth all-time in Duke's career receptions by a tight end ... Gray is nine grabs shy of matching Stan Crisson's school record of 98.
He's also chasing two more schools records in most TDs and most receiving yards by a TE ... currently his 815 yards are 555 yards shy of matching Mike Hart's career reception yards by a TE (1,370: 1998-01) ... he is 293 yards away from breaking into the top four in that category ... the Leominister, Mass., native is also five TDs away from tying former teammate Davis Koppenhaver's program record of 12 career TD receptions by a TE.
Finally, Gray has recorded 20+ receiving yards in 18 games throughout his career, and last Saturday recorded his 15th consecutive game with 2+ receptions.
YOUTHFUL WR UNIT
The wide receivers corps, led by assistant head coach Trooper Taylor, brings a youthful look in 2020 as the unit boasts zero seniors.
Of Duke's top seven receivers, six are part of the wide out group led by junior Jake Bobo and sophomore Jalon Calhoun, both of whom have started all three games this season ... Bobo and Calhoun have each logged over 100 receiving yards, while Eli Pancol is fourth with 86 yards ... Dennis Smith, who earned his first career start last Saturday at Virginia, Damond Philyaw-Johnson, and Darrell Harding Jr. round out the group with 78, 67, and 60 receiving yards, respectively.
TACKLES FOR LOSS
In 2019, Duke had five players register six or more tackles for loss, led by DE Chris Rumph II who recorded a team-best 13.5 ... DE Victor Dimukeje and LB Shaka Heyward are the other two returning players on the list with 9.5 and 6.5 TFL, respectively, last season ... Rumph II ranked eighth in the ACC with his 13.5 TFL.
In 2020, Dimukeje and Heyward have already recorded multiple TFL with 5.0 and 2.0, respectively, while redshirt sophomore LB Rocky Shelton II joins the duo with 2.5 of his own ... five other Blue Devils have registered at least 1+ TFL, including Rumph II.
YOUTH AT LINEBACKER
Duke's depth chart at linebacker is a youthful one as the unit is comprised of two redshirt sophomores, one redshirt freshman and two true freshmen.
Redshirt sophomore Shaka Heyward, who started six games last season, is the most experienced returning LB for the Blue Devils ... in three games so far in 2020, Heyward is fifth in the ACC with 27 tackles ... he has also led or tied for a team-lead in tackles in each of Duke's opening three games ... during the Blue Devils' game against Boston College, Heyward posted a game-high 10 tackles, marking the fourth double digit tackle game of his career.
The Hoschton, Ga., native has posted six+ tackles in eight straight contests, with four of those games being double-digit tackle performances ... for his career (19 games), Heyward has 95 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 4.5 sacks, one INT, two fumble recoveries and four QB pressures.
DIMUKEJE LEAVING HIS MARK
Senior Victor Dimukeje, who's played 2,252 career snaps, owns 26 games with 3+ tackles and 10 outings with 5+ stops, including a career-high eight tackles against Wake Forest in 2019 ... in Duke's game against Boston College, the Baltimore, Md., native tallied 3.5 sacks to match Chris Rumph II for the second-most in program history for a single game ... Rumph II achieved his 3.5-sack performance against Miami in 2019 ... Dimukeje has 4.0 season sacks to lead the ACC and sit 17th nationally.
For his career, Dimukeje has four games with 2.0+ sacks and currently sits third all-time with 18.0 ... he is 4.0 sacks away from Charles Bowser's all-time school record of 22.0.
The defensive end also sits 3.0 TFL shy of cracking into Duke's career top-10 list as he currently has 29.5 to his name.
