School-Record 26 Blue Devils Tabbed CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke swimming and diving programs placed 26 student-athletes on the 2019-20 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team, as announced by the organization Wednesday.

The 26 Scholar All-America selections mark the most in program history, besting the previous record set last season (23).
Â
To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and achieved a 'B' time standard or competed at the NCAA Championships or Zone Diving qualifier.

The Duke women's team saw 17 of its student-athletes place on the Scholar All-America list with six first team All-America selections. Recent graduates Kylie Jordan and Alyssa Marsh, rising junior Halle Morris and rising freshmen Emma Shuppert, Sarah Snyder and Ali Watson led the squad earning first team status.

Recent graduates Connie Dean, Lizzie Fitzpatrick and Jaina Gaudette were joined by rising senior Ellie Winslow, rising juniors Easop Lee, Maddy Pfaff, Melissa Pish, Maddi Pullinger, and Cabell Ann Whitlow and rising sophomores Kate Mullin and Kayle Park.

Two Blue Devils, recent graduates Nathaniel Hernandez and Miles Williams, were named first team All-Americans. Both Hernandez and Williams earned CSCAA first team All-America after the cancellation of the 2020 NCAA Championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seven additional Duke men earned Honorable Mention honors: recent graduate Sheldon Boboff, rising senior Nathaniel Hartley, rising juniors Harel Anolick, Cole Reznick, Matthew Whelan and Colson Zucker and rising sophomore Jonah Cagley.
