DURHAM, N.C. – Before his first season as a Blue Devil was cut short by COIVID-19, junior
Luca Keist posted a 5-5 record in spring singles while going 10-1 in doubles action.
Transferring from Charlotte, Keist hit the ground running with the team as the dual season began in Hawaii. Playing singles on courts one, two and three throughout shortened season, Keist went 5-5 and finished the year with wins against No. 14 Wake Forest's Taha Baadi and North Florida's Federico Nani.
In doubles play, Keist teamed up with senior
Spencer Furman and proved to be a strong pair as they ranked No. 79 in the last Oracle/ITA rankings. Playing all 13 matches with Furman, the duo's only loss was at the hands of No. 19 Illinois. Keist and Furman earned ACC Doubles of the Week honors on Jan. 21 following a 3-0 weekend on court one.
An economics major from Rothrist, Switzerland, Keist was named to the ACC Honor Roll in his first year with the program.
