THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Duke University women's golf incoming freshman Anne Chen will make her return to the golf course this week as she competes in the Insperity Invitational/Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship that will take place June 23-25 at The Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands, Texas. Â
The field will consist of 28 amateur golfers, which will compete in 54 holes of stroke play over a span of three days. Â
Chen, a product of Sugar Land, Texas, last competed March 9 in the Kathy Whitworth Invitational, where she placed tied for seventh with rounds of 77 and 70 for a 36-hole ledger of 147. Â
A 2018 AJGA Rolex Junior First Team All-American, Chen has been ranked as high as No. 10 in the AJGA over her career and is currently listed No. 10 by Golfweek. She registered three top 10 finishes on the AJGA in 2019 and has collected 21 top 20 placements over her career. Chen registered her first AJGA title in 2018 at the Hunter Mahan Junior Championship with rounds of 69 and 70.
