ORLANDO, Fla. – Duke University rising junior
Gina Kim will see action this week in the state of Florida as she will compete on the Egglands Best Professional Tour from June 17-18 at the Orange Tree Country Club in Orlando, Fla.
A total of 48 golfers will play 36 holes of golf. Kim will be one of 13 amateurs seeing action. Former Duke All-America Yu Liu will also compete.
It will mark Kim's second appearance since the 2019-20 Duke women's golf season was cut short due to the coronavirus. Kim, who hails from Chapel Hill, N.C., carded a final round of 69 as she finished second in the 94th Carolinas Women's Amateur Championship in Advance, N.C., earlier this month.
Kim helped lead the Blue Devils to the 2019 NCAA Championship and was the low amateur at the 2019 U.S. Women's Open. Over two seasons at Duke, Kim has competed in 16 tournaments and turned in a 73.22 stroke average with seven top 20 finishes.
