Along with Boonchant earning CoSIDA accolades on the women's side, Duke had three men's selections – Chandler Eaton (men's golf), Eoin Gronningsater (fencing) and Nathaniel Hernandez (swimming & diving). A total of 10 men and women were selected to the first team for district III.
Boonchant earned the honor for the first time in her career, after turning in a 72.31 stroke average in five tournaments in 2019-20. A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Boonchant earned Golfweek Second Team All-America and was an ANNIKA Award Watch List selection. She finished the season ranked No. 14 nationally to go along with two top five and three top 10 finishes.
Over the last three seasons, Boonchant has collected a 71.95 stroke average, which ranks as the third-best in school history. The three-time All-America also owns 49 career rounds of even or under par and helped guide Duke to the 2019 NCAA Championship.
It marks the fourth straight year a Duke women's golfer has earned CoSIDA Academic All-District as Leona Maguire (2017 and 2018) and
Virginia Elena Carta (2019) received honors. Boonchant is a statistics major and owns a 3.58 grade-point average.
