Erica Shepherd all had accepted invitations.
It marked the second straight year of the prestigious event located at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. All four Blue Devils were set to make their second consecutive appearance in the amateur tournament.
The four Duke student-athletes that accepted invitations was tied for the second-most in the field.
An international field of 72 women amateurs was set to compete over 54 holes of stroke play. A cut was going to take place after 36 holes, advancing the leading 30 players to the final round at Augusta National Golf Club.
The first 36 holes was going to be contested over two days on the Island and Bluff nines at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., April 1-2. The entire field was going to play Augusta National for an official practice round Friday, April 3. The final round would have taken place at Augusta National on Saturday, April 4, and featured the top 30 competitors who made the cut.
In 2019, Duke featured five golfers in the inaugural event with Belac, Boonchant, Kim, Shepherd and recent Blue Devil graduate
Virginia Elena Carta. Both Boonchant and Shepherd advanced to the final round where they finished tied for 12th and 23rd, respectively.
