Gina Kim was one of six committee selections for the 2020 United States Arnold Palmer Cup squad as announced Friday. The Arnold Palmer Cup is slated for July 3-5 at Lahinch Golf Club, but during these unprecedented times they are unsure if the matches will be held as scheduled, postponed or canceled. Dan Brooks will lead the United States squad that includes Kim along with Emilia Migliaccio (Wake Forest), Kaitlyn Papp (Texas), John Augenstein (Vanderbilt), Quade Cummins (Oklahoma), Rachel Kuehn (Wake Forest), Kenzie Wright (Alabama), Julia Johnson (Ole Miss), Addie Baggarly (Florida), Latanna Stone (LSU), Allyson Geer (Michigan State), Ricky Castillo (Florida), Kaitlin Milligan (Oklahoma), John Pak (Florida State), Davis Thompson (Georgia), Pierceson Coody (Texas), Jaime Jacob (San Marcos State) and Zach Zediker (Delta State).
Kim, a native of Chapel Hill, N.C., finished the 2019-20 campaign No. 46 nationally in the Golfweek individual rankings. She competed in six tournaments, while collecting a 72.88 stroke average and finishing in the top 20 of two events. A 2019 WGCA All-America, Kim carded a tied for 11th finish at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate with rounds of 73, 70 and 72 for a one-under-par, 215. She helped lead Duke to its seventh NCAA Championship in 2019 at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.
In the summer of 2019, Duke's
Ana Belac helped lead the International Team to a 33.5-26.5 victory over the United States. It will mark the third straight summer Duke has featured a golfer in the annual event as
Jaravee Boonchant competed in 2018. Â
