DURHAM, N.C.—Duke men's soccer head coach
John Kerr is excited to welcome a talented group of incoming freshmen to campus this fall. GoDuke.com will take the next couple of months to help fans get to know a little more about each of the players in advance of their arrival on campus.
First up is JT Harms – a goalkeeper who currently trains with Crew SC Academy. Top Drawer Soccer tabbed Harms as a four-star recruit and ranked him as the fifth-ranked goalkeeper nationally and the top keeper out of the Great Lakes region.
Harms joined Crew SC Academy for the 2018-19 season and started all 23 games, finishing with a .920 save percentage. He helped the club advanced to the Generation Adidas Semifinals in his first year and was a part of the Generation Adidas International MLS Elite Goalkeeper Program in Germany.
The Crew SC Academy Player of the Year was off to a solid start in his final season, starting all 11 games and stopping nearly 85 percent of the shots he faced. In both years he has been with the club, the Wisconsin native was invited to train with the first team.
Prior to joining Crew SC Academy he played with Shattuck-St. Mary's and was a part of the USYNT program, competing in various friendlies, training camps and other competitions.
An excellent student, Harms is currently ranked No. 1 in his high school class and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Here is a little more about JT.
