Softball Announces 2020 Promotional Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – With the home opener less than two weeks away, Duke softball is excited to release its promotional schedule for the Blue Devils' 28 home games.
The Blue Devils will have one season-long promotion – K's 4 Kids' Cancer – as Duke softball will be partnering with Duke Children's Hospital for the entire season. Fans will be able to help the team "strikeout children's cancer" by making a pledge for every strikeout the Blue Devil pitchers rack up this season. All funds directly go to the support of cancer research and patient care at the Duke Children's Hospital. Pledge cards will be at the marketing table upon gamedays or you can pledge online here.
Duke softball is looking for bat kids for games this season! Sign-ups are open for boys and girls in fifth grade or below. For more information or to sign up, reach out to Kyle Brady, assistant director of operations, at kyle.brady@duke.edu.

Big 10/ACC Challenge – Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer Weekend
Duke softball is raising money during the Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer weekend and all proceeds will go to the Duke Children's Hospital. Student-athletes will wear yellow laces to show awareness for pediatric cancer. Each student-athlete has set up a fundraising page – visit here to donate to the cause.

- #GirlDad t-shirt giveaway for dads in attendance
- Kids can run the bases after the game and participate in a meet & greet with players
- Free wings from The Loop will be available
- Mardi Gras beads will be distributed to fans
- Postgame: Slices of King Cake will be given to fans
Cancer Weekend
Friday, Feb. 28 vs. Notre Dame – Pink Game & Hits for the House
- Pink silicone wristbands will be distributed to fans to support breast cancer awareness
- Each time a Duke player gets a hit, fans can donate to help raise money for families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House
- Orange silicone wristbands will be distributed to fans to support leukemia awareness
- Yellow silicone wristbands will be distributed to fans to support pediatric cancer awareness
- Kids are invited to run the bases after the game
Duke Invitational
Saturday, March 7 vs. Kent State/Lafayette – Youth Day
- Poster and visor making station
- Postgame autographs following the second game
- Join Duke softball in celebrating International Women's Day
- Kids are invited to run the bases after the game
- Light sabers giveaway for the first 50 fans
Saturday, March 14 vs. Florida State – Bark in the Park
- Fans are invited to bring their pups to the park
- Local rescues will be on site with adoption tents
- Face painting station
- Kids can run the bases postgame
- Free wings from The Loop will be available
- Mini Duke branded Pride flags will be distributed to fans
- All first responders are invited as those in attendance will be honored
Wednesday, April 1 vs. South Carolina – East Campus Showdown & Student Org Night
- Student BBQ – free food for students from Ted's Catering
- Duke branded camouflage hats will be distributed to fans
- All active duty and veterans are invited as those in attendance will be honored
Sunday, April 19 vs. Georgia Tech – Senior Day
- Duke will honor its four seniors with a pregame ceremony
