No. 4 Men's Golf Tees it Up Sunday in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The fourth-ranked Duke men's golf team swings back into tournament action this week to compete in the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nev., against one of the strongest fields in college golf.
The 54-hole event runs Sunday through Tuesday with a shotgun start at noon ET each day at the Southern Highlands Golf Club -- a 7,374-yard, par-72 track. The elite field includes No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Pepperdine, No. 3 Georgia Tech, No. 4 Duke, No. 6 Texas Tech, No. 13 Texas, No. 16 SMU, No. 20 Georgia, No. 24 UCLA, along with Florida, New Mexico, TCU, USC, UCF and host UNLV.
For the second straight year, the individual champion will receive a sponsor's exemption to the PGA Tour's Shriners Hospital for Children Open, which will take place Oct. 8-11 at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
Duke opened its spring schedule with a dual-match win over Princeton last weekend in Ft. Lauderdale. The team's last event of the fall was a match play event at the Cypress Point Classic where the Blue Devils knocked off Alabama and Stanford before falling to Georgia Tech in the championship match.
The Blue Devils' last tournament action came in a victory at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, outpacing another strong field as the lone team to finish in red numbers at 2-under par.
Junior Adrien Pendaries, who recently moved back to the No. 1-ranked men's college golfer, will lead the Blue Devils into the desert. Pendaries has finished in the top 10 in each of his three stroke play events in the fall and sports a scoring average of 69.56 this season – a collective 19-under.
Duke's lineup also includes junior Evan Katz (ranked No. 12), senior Steven DiLisio (No. 96), senior All-American Chandler Eaton and junior Qi wen Wong. Sophomore Quinn Riley will play as an individual.
College Golf Live will stream final-round coverage on Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. ET at Golfweek.com and Golfstat.com, with Golfstat providing live scoring each round.
