GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Duke women's swimming and diving program and men's diving team continued their time at the 2020 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday at the Greensboro Aquatics Center (GAC).

After the second day of competition, the women are in seventh place with 250 points.

Duke opened the morning with senior Alyssa Marsh swimming a school-record 21.78 in the 50 freestyle preliminaries and was the top qualifier for the evening finals. Her swim topped her own school record previously set at the NC State GAC Invitational bac in November. Marsh finished eighth in the evening session.

The quartet of Marsh, Melissa Pish, Shayna Hollander and Sarah Snyder clocked a 1:29.00 in the 200 freestyle relay for the fastest time this year and fourth-fastest time in Blue Devil history. Their mark was also an NCAA 'B' cut time.

Other Blue Devils competing in finals Thursday evening included Snyder, Easop Lee and Connie Dean. Snyder touched the wall in 22.69 to place 16th in the 50 free. Lee placed 14th in the 500 freestyle swimming with a mark of 4:47.07. Dean was the lone Blue Devil in the finals of the 200 individual medley, placing 20th with a career-best time of 1:59.78.

Nathaniel Hernandez finished seventh in the men's one-meter diving finals with a score of 297.70.

The Blue Devils will compete in the men's platform diving and the women's 100 butterfly, 400 individual medley, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 400 medley relay on Friday. The evening action will begin at 6 p.m., at the GAC in Greensboro, N.C.
