DURHAM, N.C.— Over the next few weeks prior to the Duke women's basketball program tipping off its 2020-21 season, GoDuke.com will get to know the three new assistant coaches for the Blue Devils. Head coach
Kara Lawson hired
Beth Cunningham,
Winston Gandy and
Tia Jackson in July to help lead the squad.
Our next assistant coach we caught up with is Jackson, who owns 24 years of collegiate experience, including four years of head coaching experience. Jackson spent the last five seasons at Miami where she helped the Hurricanes to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances and 109 wins. Jackson makes Durham, N.C., home for a second time as she spent the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons at Duke as an assistant coach, helping the Blue Devils to 63 victories and a trip to the 2006 NCAA championship game.
