DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Athletics is excited to announce the third annual Varsity Club Giving Day on Tuesday, Dec. 1. In just two weeks, the 27-hour competition will run from 9 a.m. on Dec. 1 through noon on Dec. 2.
For 27 hours, in support of our 27 varsity programs including Cheerleading and Marching Band, we challenge you to show support for your sport's Varsity Club fund.
This year, each of our varsity programs is competing against peer programs for the opportunity to win up to $6,000 for their Varsity Club fund. Check out the Leaderboard pages to find the "pod" where your favorite program will be competing.
With eight mini competitions, there are so many more chances for your team to win! Each gift of $10 or more from an individual donor will count towards supporting that program's "Most Donors" category, and the money donated will count towards that program's "Most Dollars Raised" on Giving Day.
Varsity Club funds go directly to each program, and they are used to enhance the student-athletes' experience. Funds are used by each program for their specific program needs and have been used for things such as the renovation of facilities, leadership seminars and state-of-the-art technology. By supporting your sport's Varsity Club fund this year, you are directly aiding your favorite team.
