DURHAM, N.C. – As Major League Soccer approaching its playoff season, the United Soccer League continues it postseason action and European leagues start the 2020-21 campaign it is time to give an update on all the Blue Devils in the professional ranks.
Blue Devils in MLS
Four former Blue Devils are current members of three MLS teams. Sean Davis and Brian White suit up for New York Red Bulls, Sebastien Ibeagha is a defender with NYCFC and Jeremy Ebobisse helps headline the Portland Timbers offense. The MLS regular season runs through Nov. 8
Portland Timbers (9-4-3, T-1st Western Conference)
The Timbers come in at No. 5 in the latest power rankings. The club has five straight wins and are tied with Seattle for first in the Western Conference with a 9-4-3 record. Ebobisse has been outstanding all season and recently registered a brace in a 6-3 win at LA Galaxy. He is tied for the team lead with seven goals. He has started nine of the 16 games.
NYCFC (8-7-2, 5th Eastern Conference)
NYCFC comes in at No. 8 in the latest power rankings as it makes a push for a playoff spot over the next few weeks. Ibeagha has battled an injury for much of the season, but has been back on the bench in recent games. He came off the bench in a scoreless draw with New England Sept. 19, earned the start, and played the full 90 minutes in a 3-2 win at Miami.
New York Red Bulls (7-8-2, 7th Eastern Conference)
The New York Red Bulls has had some struggles this season, resulting in a head coaching change. NYRB, under the guidance of head coach Gerhard Struber, is still alive to make the playoffs, sitting seven points out of the No. 4 spot.
Brian White has come on strong lately and scored his first goal of the season in a 4-1 win at Miami FC. White has four starting assignments since leaving Orlando for the MLS is Back Cup. He played at least 79 minutes in each start and has come off the bench four times.
Davis, selected as the team captain prior to the season getting underway, started every game down in Orlando. He was in the middle for two of the first three games back before suffering an injury. He started and donned the captain's armband in the most recent game, Oct. 10, and played 77 minutes in the 1-0 victory against Atlanta United.

Issa Rayyan (Union II), Aedan Stanley (Timbers 2), Christian Ibeagha (OKC Energy), Daniele Proch (NCFC), Brandon Williamson (Loudoun United FC) – is playing in the USL, which just started its playoff season. Here is how the Blue Devils fared overall.
Christian Ibeagha – A veteran for the OKC Energy, Ibeagha played 14 games with 11 starting assignments. Playing a total of 1,048 minutes, he had 35 clearances and won just over half of his aerial duels and seven of nine tackles.
Daniele Proch – In his first season with North Carolina FC, Proch saw time in 11 games and started one. He played a total of 220 minutes.
Issa Rayyan – Battling injuries, Rayyan saw time in just six games with two starts.
Aedan Stanley – In his first season as a professional, Stanley started all 16 games in the back for Timbers 2. He led the team in minutes, 1,440, won 65 percent of his aerial duels and 50 percent of his overall duels.
Brandon Williamson – A rookie for Loudoun United, Williamson played in 10 games with one start, playing a total of 337 minutes.
Duke in USL League One
Hassan Pinto joined the Richmond Kickers of USL League One midway through the summer. He played in one game for club, which finished 7-4-2.
Overseas Update
Fresh off a promotion to the English Football League for the first time in club history,
James Belshaw and Harrogate Town AFC are off to a solid start and most recently posted a 1-0 shutout against Bradford City. The club is 1-1-2 in Skybet League Two contests.
Markus Fjørtoft is back with Hamilton Academical of the Scottish Premier League. Hamilton is 0-3-1 in league action.
