DURHAM, N.C. – Duke senior defensive end Tre Hornbuckle has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2020 FBS Spiral Tropical Bowl set for Sunday.

The postseason game, which is in its fifth year of existence, will be played at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium on the campus of Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., and kick off at 10:00 a.m.

Hornbuckle is the first Blue Devil to earn an invitation to the game.

The 6-4, 255-pound senior played in 11-of-12 games for Duke this season (four starts), missing one contest due to injury. He compiled 34 tackles on the year, 5.5 tackles for loss (24 yards), and 4.0 sacks (21 yards). The Murray, Ky., native also added two quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and two forced fumbles.

In 49 career games at Duke, Hornbuckle registered 128 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, and three caused fumbles.
