DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt senior punter Austin Parker has accepted an invitation to participate in the Hula Bowl All-Star Game set for January 26, 2020.

After taking a 12-year hiatus, the Hula Bowl returns for its 74th year and will feature players from all divisions. The game will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawai'i and kick off at 4:30 p.m. HT with CBS Sports Network broadcasting the contest.

An honorable mention All-ACC pick in 2019, Parker is the 20th Blue Devil to earn an invitation to the Hula Bowl and first since Troy Andrews in 2000. Â

Parker, a Mount Pleasant, N.C., native, ranks fifth in the ACC and 15th nationally in punting average after registering 66 total punts for 3,018 yards and an average of 45.73 yards per kick. His season average is the second highest in Duke history, trailing only Steve Lach's mark of 45.89. Parker closed out his final campaign compiling 26 punts of 50+ yards this season for the third-highest total in the ACC. He also booted a career long 72-yarder against Syracuse.

In 44 career games, Parker punted 232 times for 9.911 yards and a 42.72 average.
