DURHAM, N.C. – After a stretch of six home games, the 10
th-ranked Duke Blue Devils (5-1-2) hit the road for a road ACC contest, traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C., for a matchup with in-state foe Wake Forest (5-2-2) Thursday evening.
The conference match is set for a 7 p.m. ET start, and will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra from Spry Stadium. Fans can access the stream from the ESPN app or via WatchESPN.com.
Last Time Out
In a tightly played contest, the Duke Blue Devils battled to a 1-1 draw against in-state rival NC State in the team's ACC opener last Sunday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium.

Duke vs. Wake Forest
Thursday's matchup between Duke and Wake Forest marks the 31st all-time contest between the two North Carolina natives. The Blue Devils own the all-time series advantage, 17-9-4, and have won the last three matchups over the Demon Deacons. The two teams are tied across the 12 matchups that have taken place in Winston-Salem, as Duke owns a record of 5-5-2 on the road against Wake Forest. Ella Stevens has gotten off to an impressive start to her senior campaign, registering a team-high 15 points through the first eight contests. Stevens currently leads the team in goals scored with six on the campaign, already eclipsing her number of goals scored from a season ago. The Grayson, Ga., native posted her second career multi-goal performance in the final contest of the Duke Nike Classic against LSU with a two-goal effort to notch the brace. She owns a three-game scoring streak, having scored four goals across the span. Stevens ranks in the top five in the ACC in goals per game (0.75), points per game (1.88) and total points (15), while ranking sixth in total goals scored.
Plucking Away
Sophomore
Mackenzie Pluck has been a catalyst for Duke this season, evolving into a focal point of the team's offense during her second year with the Blue Devils. Pluck serves as the team's assist leader with four this season, while ranking second in points scored with 12. The North Wales, Pa., native has also proved to be a scorer for the Blue Devils, tying for first in shots on goal with 11, while placing third in goals scored with four thus far. Pluck ranks within the top 10 in the ACC in assists per game (0.50), points per game (1.50), shots per game (3.00), shots on goal per game (1.38), total assists (4) and total points (12), while placing 11th in goals per game with a mark of 0.50.
Tough ACC Schedule Ahead
There are seven ACC teams ranked inside the top 25 of the United Soccer Coaches Poll, and the Blue Devils are set to face six of those. Duke will face top-ranked Virginia this weekend on the road, beginning a span of five top-25 matchups. Following the contest with the Cavaliers, the Blue Devils are set to face No. 16 Virginia Tech, No. 4 North Carolina, No. 9 Clemson and No. 22 Louisville.
Duke in the Polls
Duke checked in at No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll this week as one of five ACC teams in the top 10, and one of seven schools ranked in the top 25. Additionally, the Blue Devils are ranked ninth in the Soccer America Top 25, and 15th in the
TopDrawerSoccer rankings. Duke is ranked for the 52nd straight week in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, dating back to the ninth week of the 2015 season, when the Blue Devils were ranked No. 22.
