DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's tennis senior
Nick Stachowiak was listed among the top 60 singles players in the country Tuesday, as The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2019-20 Oracle ITA Division I preseason national rankings.
Stachowiak checked in at No. 59 in the preseason singles rankings following a junior campaign that saw the Cary, N.C., native earn second team All-ACC recognition.
During the 2018-19 season, Stachowiak compiled a 13-10 overall record in singles action, going 8-8 in dual singles play while competing on court one for the Blue Devils. He posted the first top-10 victory of his career against No. 10 Alex Brown of Illinois last February, winning in straight sets.
Stachowiak was ranked in the Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Rankings for singles throughout the entire spring season. He enters his senior campaign with a 70-33 career mark in singles play.
Stachowiak and the Blue Devils kick off fall collegiate action this weekend, hosting the program's annual Duke Bonk Invitational Friday through Sunday at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
