DURHAM, N.C. – A Blue Devil earned recognition from the ACC for the third time in as many weeks Tuesday as freshman forward
Hannah Miller was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week.
Miller garnered the first award of her collegiate career after racking up three goals in two weekend contests in Iowa City, Iowa.
A native of Malvern, Pa., Miller notched an unassisted tally in Saturday's 4-1 defeat of Cal at Iowa's Grant Field. She also came through in the clutch twice in Sunday's top-10 battle with the seventh-ranked Hawkeyes. Miller put the second-ranked Blue Devils ahead, 1-0, in the third quarter before putting away the game-winning goal in a second overtime period.
Miller's two game-winning goals this season tie for first on the team, while her 0.83 goals per game rank her among the league's leaders. She recorded the first multiple-goal game of her young career in Sunday's double overtime victory over Iowa.
Still unbeaten on the season at 6-0, the Blue Devils return to Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium Sunday to host Ohio University at 12 p.m. on
ACCNX.
