DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke football team recorded its second win of the year and its first true road win after taking down Middle Tennessee State, 41-18, on Saturday.
Â
Let's take a quick rewind to see how everything unfolded.
Duke finished with one 100-yard rusher, one 100-yard receiver and saw redshirt senior quarterback Quentin Harris throw for over 200 yards and four touchdowns.Â
Freshmen wide receivers Eli Pancol and Jalen Calhoun both found the end zone for the second consecutive game after teaming up with Harris for 11- and 12-yard touchdowns, respectively.
Â
One final highlight was Duke's successful on-side kick. Redshirt junior kicker AJ Reed tapped it the needed 10 yards before Damond Philyaw-Johnson fell on it midway through the first quarter to completely throw the Middle Tennessee State special teams unit off guard.Â
The Blue Devils have a bye week before they head to Blacksburg, Va., on September 27th to open ACC play at Virginia Tech. Game time is set for 7 p.m. and will be carried live on ESPN.
