Kim Tees Off Tuesday at Canadian Women's Amateur

DURHAM, N.C. – Coming off a tied for third overall finish a year ago at the Canadian Women's Amateur, Duke University Gina Kim will head back to the championship this week as the rising sophomore will compete from July 23-26 at the Red Deer Golf & Country Club in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.

Kim notched rounds of 67, 68, 71 and 69 over four days last year to finish with a nine-under, 275, over 72 holes at Marine Drive Golf Club.

Last week, Kim competed in the Pinehurst North & South Amateur and advanced to match play before falling in extra holes. She also turned in low amateur honors at the U.S. Women's Open as she finished tied for 12th earlier this summer.

A native of Chapel Hill, N.C., Kim will open action at 10:58 a.m. (ET) Tuesday, July 23 in round one.
