DURHAM, N.C.—With the 2019 season nearing, the Duke men's soccer program gets to know a little more about its incoming freshmen, beginning with midfielder Cameron Duke of Overland Park, Kansas.
A member of the Sporting Kansas City Academy program and a regular with the United States Youth National Teams, Cameron Duke has helped lead Sporting KC to a USSDA playoff appearance in every year. He earned his first international call-up with the U14 squad in 2013 and helped Sporting KC to the 2015 national title.
In the 2017-18 academy season, Cameron Duke started 19 games with the U16-17 squad, scoring four goals, and earned eight starting assignments with the U18-19 team and tallied a pair of markers. He was voted the Center Conference Player of the Year in 2017 and voted to the USSDA Best XI.
Cameron Duke and the Blue Devils open preseason training August 14 and will play their first official game of 2019 August 30.
