GET TO KNOW SARAH:
Why Duke?
"Duke is the perfect school in every way. The academics and athletics are both among the top in the country. For softball, the coaching staff is amazing and is always working to help the players improve throughout their career. The players have a family-like atmosphere and are super fun to be around. Being a student-athlete at Duke has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so grateful I am going to achieve that."
What hobbies do you have?
"I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, watching Netflix (especially
Criminal Minds), biking, hanging out with friends and reading."
What is the best advice you have received?
"Live every day like it's your last, don't take anything for granted.
Favorite Softball memory?
"Placing 3
rd at PGF Nationals Premier in 2017. We were such an underdog, being from the Midwest. No California team thought an Indiana team would be any good, but we continued to beat California, Texas and Florida teams and stayed in the winner's bracket until the second to last day. Our 14U 3
rd place finish was the highest for any team ever from Indiana."
Favorite athlete?
"Mike Trout."
