DURHAM, N.C. – A trio of Duke women's golfers have been honored recently by Global Golf Post with junior
Jaravee Boonchant, sophomore
Gina Kim and Blue Devil graduate Sarah LeBrun Ingram receiving accolades. Â
Both Boonchant and Kim earned All-Amateur Team honors in 2019, while Ingram earned Women's Senior Amateur Honorable Mention accolades. Â
A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Boonchant had an impressive 2019 in which she turned in a tied for 12th finish at the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA), top five finish at the ACC Championship, top five ledger at the NCAA Auburn Regional and a top 10 finish at the NCAA Championship. The two-time All-America also helped lead the international squad to a win at the Arnold Palmer Cup, while helping lead Duke to its seventh NCAA Championship in Fayetteville, Ark.
Kim earned All-America honors as a rookie with the Blue Devils, while helping lead Duke to the NCAA Championship. A product of Chapel Hill, N.C., Kim was the low amateur at the U.S. Women's Open, placed in the top 10 at the Canadian Women's Amateur, top six finish at the NCAA Auburn Regional and was tied for 10th at the NCAA Championship. Her 72-hole ledger of 283 at the U.S. Women's Open was tied for the second-lowest by an amateur in open history. Â
A 1988 Duke graduate, Ingram advanced to the round of 16 of the U.S. Women's Senior Amateur and will captain the United States squad at the 2020 Curtis Cup. She is a three-time U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur champion. Â
