Alyssa Marsh broke her third school record in a matter of three days as the Blue Devils wrapped up its time at the NC State/GAC Invitational. The Duke women finished third (1,497.5) while the men placed fifth (1,197).

In the preliminaries Saturday morning, Marsh broke the school record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.11 after breaking the 50 freestyle record on Thursday (21.90) and the 100 butterfly record on Friday (51.05).

Saturday night in the 100 freestyle finals, Marsh and
Melissa Pish finished three, four, respectively, in the event. Marsh swam a 48.23 while Pish clocked a 49.18, both being "B" cut times.
Miles Williams led the Blue Devils in the men's 100 freestyle with a time of 43.05.

The 200 breaststroke brought record-breaking performances for Duke. On the women's side,
Kayle Park paced the Blue Devils with a 2:12.47 and fifth place finish. Her time and teammate
Connie Dean's time of 2:13.17 were "B" cut times. Park's 2:12.47 was the second-fastest 200 breaststroke in Duke history.
Cole Reznick placed sixth in the event for the men with a time of 2:00.63.

Duke had two women in the 200 butterfly A Final.
Easop Lee placed third with a time of 1:57.49, a "B" cut time and fourth in Duke history.
Rachel Peroni's
 time of 1:59.72 was a career-best and earned her 12th place at the event and 10th in the Duke charts. For the men,
Matthew Whelan swam the sixth-fastest time of the night with a career-best 1:46.86, placing him third in Duke history in the 200 butterfly.

Zach Washart swam a career-best time of 15:29.78 in the 1,650 freestyle. The Sewell, N.J., native's time checks in at seventh in Duke history. Washart finished 10th in the event.

The women's 400 freestyle relay of Pish, Marsh,
Sarah Snyder,
Kylie Jordan jumped to second in the Duke charts with a 3:15.20 on their way to a third-place finish. The quartet's time is a "B" cut. The men's quad of Williams,
Sheldon Boboff,
Nathaniel Hartley,
Charlie Gingrich swam a 2:55.70 to place fifth and find themselves in seventh in the Duke history books.

Duke continued to dominate the boards, as
Nathaniel Hernandez won the men's platform diving event and
Jaina Gaudette took second in the women's. Hernandez finished his weekend with two wins and a second-place finish. Saturday's score of 372.80 in the platform diving event secured his second top finish of the weekend. Gaudette placed second in the platform event with a score of 246.70.

Duke wrapped up the fall portion of its 2019-20 season with the completion of the NC State/GAC Invitational. The Blue Devils placed third in the women's with 1,497.5 points, ahead of No. 19 Wisconsin and No. RV Arizona State. The men finished in fifth place with 1,197 points.

The Blue Devils return to action Saturday, Jan. 11, when Duke travels to Charlotte, N.C., to take on Queens University of Charlotte at 1 p.m.
