LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A strong fourth quarter propelled Duke to a road victory Thursday evening at UNLV, 57-45, as the Blue Devils outscored the Lady Rebels, 16-4, over the final six minutes at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

Haley Gorecki paced the Blue Devils (2-1) with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while senior
Leaonna Odom and sophomore
Miela Goodchild added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
UNLV was very active on the boards early in the contest and went ahead 13-8, but the Blue Devils battled back scoring the final five points of the first quarter as Gorecki connected on two free throws and Odom connected on a three-point play to even the score, 13-13.
The Blue Devils came out in the second quarter and struggled from the field, hitting only 2-of-8 attempts for a 25.0 percentage. UNLV would go on to outscore Duke, 11-8, in the quarter and held a 24-21 advantage heading into halftime.
Duke was led at the break by Goodchild with six points and five rebounds, while seven different Blue Devils scored over the first 20 minutes.
Odom, who hails from Lompoc, Calif., collected three points, two rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot in the first half. The block gave her 100 career swats at Duke and she became just the eighth Blue Devil to notch over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 100 blocks.
UNLV opened the third period by going ahead, 34-27, with 5:35 remaining, but the Blue Devils were able to bounce back and hold the Lady Rebels scoreless over the final 4:59 of the third quarter and led 37-36 heading into the fourth. Odom scored the final four points of the third to help regain the lead.
The Blue Devils were able to take control of the contest midway through the fourth quarter as Gorecki connected on her second three-pointer of the game and then on the next possession graduate
Kyra Lambert found a wide open Goodchild on the baseline and she drained a three to put Duke ahead, 47-41, with 5:11 remaining.
With Duke leading, 47-43, with under three minutes remaining, Lambert came through big as the shot clock was expiring as she drained her second three-pointer of the season to put the Blue Devils ahead, 50-43.
Goodchild finished the contest with a career-high eight rebounds.
UNLV (0-2) was led by Kavionnia Brown with 11 points.
Will return home to Cameron Indoor Stadium for a five-game homestand beginning Sunday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m., against Northwestern live on ACC Network.
