Saturday's contest will be the 87th meeting between Duke and Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets hold a 51-34-1 edge on the series, but the Blue Devils bring a two-game winning streak into the contest.

Duke and Georgia Tech have played every year since 1933. The Yellow Jackets had a 10-game winning streak from 2004-2013 until Duke posted back-to-back wins in 2014 and 2015. Since 2014, Duke has won four of its last five games with the Yellow Jackets.
The Blue Devils recorded a 28-14 road victory during the teams' last matchup on Oct. 13, 2018. Then rookie Chris Rumph II posted seven tackles, including 4.0 for loss, 1.0 sack and one fumble recovery in the win. Also helping the defensive unit was Joe Giles-Harris, who tallied 15 tackles. Quarterback Daniel Jones finished 17-of-27 for 206 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Duke attack. The score was tied at 7-7 heading into halftime until the Blue Devils used a 21-point third quarter to pull away.
Since failing to score more than a field goal in their season opener against No. 2 Alabama, Duke has responded with 21 total touchdowns over its last four games (12 receiving and nine rushing). With Quentin Harris' two rushing scores against Pittsburgh last Saturday, the Blue Devils have seen the redshirt senior record at least one TD via the ground game in three of their four outings since the opener. The Wilton, Conn., native has thrown for at least one touchdown in each of Duke's last four games as well.
Duke has had multiple players register double digit tackles in a game on three different occasions this season. During its most recent outing, senior Koby Quansah and redshirt junior Brandon Hill posted 11 and 10 tackles, respectively.
Of those three games in which the Blue Devils finished with two players with double figure tackles, Quansah has been half of that duo every time. Against Alabama, Quansah (11) teamed up with Dylan Singleton (13), before he (13) and Hill (11) joined forces versus Virginia Tech. Duke earned two players with double digit tackles just four times throughout all last season.
Despite having thumb surgery a week before the season opener, Quansah has racked up a team-best 48 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Two other Blue Devils have earned 30-plus tackles on the year in Singleton and Hill with 41 and 35, respectively.
Quansah and Rumph II are currently tied for the team lead with 4.5 tackles for loss, while Tre Hornbuckle is tops on the Blue Devils squad with 2.5 sacks on the year. Rumph II and Victor Dimukeje follow closely with 2.0 sacks each.

The Blue Devils are coming off a 33-30 loss to Pittsburgh in their ACC home opener. The Panthers jumped out to a 26-3 advantage before Duke got things rolling late in the third quarter. The Blue Devils used 27 straight points to jump in front, 30-26, with 1:29 remaining in the game. However, Pittsburgh responded with one final touchdown to secure the win.
Georgia Tech dropped a 38-22 decision to North Carolina during its last outing.
